VA Tech student from Burke attends Velo-City conference

We think Lyndsay McKeever from Burke is representative of many young people today who are interested in sustainability, which includes supporting alternative modes of transportation such as bicycling. Lyndsay,a senior at Virginia Tech who works as a student intern at Transportation and Campus Services, recently attend Velo-City in Spain:
The Velo-City conference is in its 31st year and strives to "encourage cycling as part of daily transport and recreation," according to its website. Attendees viewed cities showcasing their bicycle-friendly policies, and advocates sharing policy and procedure ideas.
She also blogged about the conference for LAB. Let's hope Lyndsay returns to this area to help make cycling a daily transportation option for everyone in Fairfax.
