Franconia Road public meeting

Tonight is the meeting to discuss bicycle and pedestrian safety on Franconia Road. From Supervisor McKay's office:
Subject: Franconia Road Study Community Meeting

This is a reminder that tonight, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, Supervisor McKay, Delegate Sickles and Senator Barker will convene a meeting for VDOT personnel to present the results of their Franconia Road/Cannon Lane study to the community. The meeting will take place at

Clermont Elementary School (cafeteria)
5720 Clermont Drive
Alexandria, VA
7:30 PM

We would appreciate your help in forwarding the information about this meeting to your communities.
This conflicts with tonight's FABB meeting so I hope some south county cyclists can attend to ask VDOT how they plan to make the road safer for cyclists.

Comments:
I made it to the meeting. Gave VDOT an earful. Will try to post something on my blog, though my schedule's pretty tight through the weekend.

Froggie, Glad you were able to attend the meeting and look forward to hearing your comments.
