Public meeting on Banks Neighborhood Park plan

Banks Neighborhood Park is located on Old Telegraph Road near Kingstowne and other residential areas and not far from Huntley Meadows Park. It's a 10 acre park owned by the Fairfax County Park Authority but it "is not currently open to the public as it contains a life estate provision for Mr. Olander Banks Sr." The Park Authority has developed a draft master plan.

A Public Comment Meeting is scheduled for February 17 from 7-8:30pm. Unfortunately that's the same night as the Tysons Bicycle Plan public meeting. If you're not planning to attend the Tysons meeting, cyclists should consider attending the Banks Park meeting to ensure that bicyclists will have safe, convenient access to the park with adequate bike parking. Read the Draft Master Plan.
