FABB at Cyclefest

Despite the wet forecast, there was almost no rain during Paul's Ride and Cyclefest yesterday. A good crowd turned out to raise money for the Washington Regional Transplant Community as part of Paul's Ride, to test ride bikes, see the legendary Gary Fisher, and to get some great bicycle-related info from the FABB crew. Nearly 40 cyclists signed up to receive the FABB e-newsletter (the next edition is due next week).

Gary Fisher spent most of the day talking to cyclists, signing autographs, and having his picture taken with fans. Throughout the day BMX stunt riders wowed the crowd with their tricks on ramps set up inside the pavilion. Trails for Youth (Formerly Trips for Kids Metro DC) held a bike rodeo on Market St, which was blocked off for the day. WABA provide racks and other support for bike valet parking for the event.
