Bicycle planning for suburban settings

Richard Layman maintains the blog Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space where he writes about urban revitalization and transportation. In a recent post entitled Best practice bicycle planning for suburban settings using the "action planning" method he discusses his ideas for increasing bicycle mode share in the suburbs as presented at a ReThink Montgomery session.

Layman and Casey Anderson, a Montgomery County bicycling advocate and WABA Board member, gave presentations as part of the Infrastructure component of ReThink Montgomery. A video of the presentations is online as is Layman's slide presentation. Casey's talk was entitled Bicycling in DC and Its Suburbs: Attitudes and Experiences.
