Bear Rock Cafe is a bicycle-friendly business
Recently we traveled by bike to both Northern Virginia locations of Bear Rock Cafe, in Shirlington and Falls Church. Each time the manager has approached us to comment on our having arrived by bike and pointing out that bicyclists are always welcome at Bear Rock Cafe.Both locations have U-racks outside the cafe, and there are large windows so you can keep your eye on your bike while eating. Both locations are also near the W&OD Trail. The Shirlington location has outdoor seating in the warmer months. On the cafe menu are hot and cold sandwiches, individual pizza, salads, coffee, etc. It's highly recommended as a bicycle-friendly business. If you know of other bike-friendly businesses, let us know. In the future we may participate in Virginia Bicycle Federation's Bicycle Friendly Recognition Award program.
