Tysons bicycle tour in Washington Post

There was a brief mention of the upcoming FABB bicycle tour of Tysons in today's Post. There has been a good response to the invitations sent out to local officials, county staff, and members of the Tysons Task Force. The weather looks good and we're hoping for a good turnout on Saturday. We'll post a summary of the event with some photos, so stay tuned.
Comments:
I actually *live* in Tysons, and I only found out about this event by reading the paper this morning. It looks like you practically rode past my front door though. Keep up the good work and I will try and keep a better eye out for future events.

Eric,

We intentionally kept the group small. It would have been difficult to have had a larger group and been able to ride safely and speak to them effectively. There was a good turnout and we had great weather. We hope to do the tour again; several people expressed an interest in the tour.

We did see a couple of other cyclists, along Boone Blvd near the Suntrust Bldg. They appeared to be riding to work. I think a lot more people would ride into Tysons if they knew some of the back roads that lead into the area and if they used effective cycling techniques.

There will be a Bike to Work Day event in Tysons this year, in front of the Booz Allen Hamilton building on Greensboro Dr. They'll have food, drinks, and raffle prizes. Hope you can attend.
