Bicycle access to Reston Metro stations

To ensure good bicycle access to the future Wiehle Ave. and Reston Parkway Metro stations, cyclists are encouraged to attend a public outreach meeting on station access on March 27, 2007 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. at Hughes Middle School in Reston. For background see the earlier FABB blog entry on the station access group. For details about the meeting see the Reston Metro Access Group website.

The stations need secure, covered bicycle parking, and safe, convenient bicycle access. Let the task force and Supervisor Hudgins know that people will get out of their cars and ride their bikes if they are provided good bicycle facilities. [Note: The starting time for the meeting in the original post was incorrectly listed as 6:30 p.m. Please note that the correct time is 7:00 p.m.]
